Hello... I am Jos.
I am just a concept.
I am not real.
I am the result of the stupid mindblowing ideas of my creators at JosWorld.
JosWorld is a brussels-based creative thinktank founded by five young graphic designers.
They have a great design concept, but unfortunately they don't know how to explain it to you.
Briefly, it contains this:
organised chaos.
interaction.
patterns.
mathematical systems.
surprising results.
turning the world 90 degrees.
no restrictions by current trends or habbits.
recycling.
To have complete freedom, they created this world, and called it JosWorld.
I am Jos.
I represent my creators in this world.
JosWorld gained it's independency in september 2004... because... wel... why not?
You never dreamt about owning your own world?
The year is almost coming to it's end, so it's about time to update you with some fresh and exciting news from Josworld.
Most of you are probably already dreaming about holidays, sun and palmtrees, but we at Josworld are enthousiastically working on some new and exciting projects, while also getting ready for the upcoming year 2011 - the year of the rabbit (or the International Year of Forests if your prefer the United Nations designation)...
All in all 2010 was a rather interesting year. It started with the move to our brand new office in Brussels city centre, ending an era in the old Bellevue - Creative Brewery. It continued with the ongoing collaborations like Pukkelpop, Positivus, and Boomtown music festivals and cultural projects for KMKG, Army Museum, Workspace Brussels and Museum Night Fever, only to end with some interesting new projects we still have to be a bit secretive about. But 2011 promises to be a very exciting year!!! ;)
One small glimpse we can offer you already: after 4 years of very nice and intense collaboration we are exchanging Pukkelpop festival for another exciting big summer festival. Curious? Stay with us, and you'll be among the first to know! :)
Biggest downside this year was the news that we have to quit the shopwindow that currently houses our successfull M'atuvu - Creative Shopwindow gallery. For some dubious - but probably gentrification-related reasons - we have to leave the space in march next year. But no panic, we look at the bright side and see it as the perfect occasion to lift the M'atuvu project to a néxt level. So stay tuned!
