‘Josworld, Designers Collective’ is a Brussels-based design studio active in the fields of visual communication & artistic projects. Since 2005 we are a group of friends/designers collaborating on, and sharing our passion for innovative and renewing communication projects. Through our enthusiastic, collaborative and original design approach we magically manage to come up with refreshing and original solutions for each creative challenge. We are very fond of designing for the cultural scene, but also have extensive experience in corporate and institutional projects. We like to go as broad as possible, for example the work we do for Pukkelpop - one of the most successfull music festivals in Europe - ranging from tickets, posters and flyers over website and media platform, to stage design and interactive visuals. But it can be discrete as well, like the very distinctive restyling we did for Beursschouwburg - one of Brussels best known cultural venues, or the co-production and art direction for In-Transit, a European Commission short movie project.

A passion for design and arts, very close friendship, a lot of enthusiasm, the unique Brussels atmosphere and a huge sense of humor do the trick. We love challenges, new approaches and to broaden our visual horizon. Aside from designing, we love to make time to develop our own artistic ideas and collaborate with other artists. We are pretty proud of our unique ‘Analogue Visual Laboratory’ - a crossover between live VJ-ing, performance and artistic installation which we performed at several occasions in and around Brussels. We are also pretty active in the Brussels cultural scene, co-producing several artistic events like the much renowned Zenne17-project, bringing together a bunch of artists in what became one of the biggest ‘alternative’ artistic showcases in Brussels. And Josworld wouldn’t be Josworld if we wouldn’t believe in talent!

That’s why in 2008 we opened our own gallery in the heart of Brussels, curating and promoting young and promising artists, giving them a chance to showcase their work in our 40m2 shopwindow. This way, we already introduced more than 30 artists from about 10 countries to the Brussels artistic scene.

The fact that we are a Collective rather than a Company makes that we do not HAVE to perform, but that we can fully focus on those projects we really like, making it both fun for us and for you! Josworld consists of 7 designers - 4 of whom run the Brussels-based studio on a daily basis - and works with a pool of fellow-designers and companies on a hop-on hop-off per project basis.

JosWorld is a brussels-based creative thinktank founded by five young graphic designers.
They have a great design concept, but unfortunately they don't know how to explain it to you.
Briefly, it contains this:
organised chaos.
interaction.
patterns.
mathematical systems.
surprising results.
turning the world 90 degrees.
no restrictions by current trends or habbits.
recycling.
To have complete freedom, they created this world, and called it JosWorld.
I am Jos.
I represent my creators in this world.
JosWorld gained it's independency in september 2004... because... wel... why not?
